GameCo faced a challenge with the evolving video game market landscape. The initial assumption was that video game sales were steady across all regions over time, which required validation.

Objective

To verify the consistency of video game sales across regions and, if found inconsistent, to reallocate the marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI.

Methodology

A comprehensive analysis was performed using Excel, reviewing nearly 40 years of sales data across various regions. The focus was shifted to the last decade to capture relevant market dynamics and consumer preferences.

Recommendations

The analysis led to tailored regional strategies, emphasizing platform-specific and genre-specific marketing initiatives. It recommended a careful budget allocation with a focus on Europe, potential investment in Japan, and a cautious approach in North America.
