Dear Belarus Beehive team,
I learnt with great interest about the vacancy "Mentors for project development and support" within the framework of the international project Belarus Beehive "Supporting civil society as a key driver of democratic transformation of Belarus". My extensive experience in project and financial management, as well as my deep understanding of civil society needs, make me an ideal candidate for this role.
With over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, and active in the civil sector since 2020, I have built up a proven expertise in managing large projects and finances, successfully leading cross-functional teams of up to 100 people. I am ready to apply my diverse experience to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations.
I would like to pay special attention to my experience in financial management, which is a key requirement for this position, especially in the context of EU projects. In my roles as Director at Unity Bridge and Coordinator at StopPropaganda, I have regularly secured and administered grants, overseen budgeting and reporting, and successfully secured grant funding twice. Whilst my experience does not directly involve managing EU grants exclusively, I am deeply familiar with the principles of rigorous budgeting, procurement procedures and reporting requirements that apply to international funding. I am confident that my skills in financial management, budgeting and grant management are easily adapted to the standards and requirements of the European Union, and is ready to quickly master all specific nuances related to financial planning and budget management of EU projects, as well as EU-compliant procurement procedures.
My responsibilities also included supporting other civil society initiatives, which directly corresponds to the requirement of building the capacity of NGOs and consulting organisations to strengthen their organisational and financial capacity.
In addition, I have a deep understanding of the specifics of working with civil society in Belarus, which is confirmed by my experience in Lithuania and Belarus, as well as my participation in projects to counter disinformation. I am fluent in Russian and Belarusian, which is critical for effective interaction with potential civil society clients.
I am confident that my experience, including setting up my own business and managing projects in the civil sector, as well as my ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes, will enable me to successfully fulfil my duties as a Mentor and contribute to the strengthening of civil society organisations.
